Round 1. Mnt G 1, hikers 0
This hike was ruthless. We started out at Bill’s cousin’s house at around 11:30am. He gave us the 411 on the hike and told us we were in over our heads. As you would expect we didn’t take his advice and began the hike. We started out on a half mile trek to the trail head. Which was strangely hard. The base of our hike was at roughly 6000 feet. When you live at 0 feet and start walking at 6000 feet you notice the difference real quick. The first mile of the hike consisted of about a 2000 foot elevation gain over about 1 mile. As you might have guessed we took quite a few breaks to reach the 1 mile mark. Once we finally reached the 1 mile mark we came across a very attractive female hiker. Bill laid on the moves but in the end she told us we were in over our heads then headed up the mountain. We finally realized that we were over our heads and decided to take a detour to a water fall. The water fall had no trails but we figured that we would find it eventually if we fallowed the steam down the mountain. After a short 20 minute walk we found it and it was glorious. We ended up eating lunch there then heading down 2 hours later.
